On behalf of the management and ownership of Avanti International Resort, we recognize the dilemma relative to The Thomas Cook Group insolvency. As we reflected on the situation and those involved, we want to relieve those that had been debited due to this unfortunate issue. Therefore, a credit has been issued and we ask that you allow 7 to 10 business days for the credit to reflect on your credit card. We understood that the notice of the insolvency of a company that existed for 178 years is difficult to fathom. Our reaction came through the notice from the CAA, which led to the charging of those guests that had previously stayed prior to the 9/23/19 insolvency date, that the CAA & ATT clearly outlined they would not accept liability for those charges. We apologize for any reaction that seems harsh and unsympathetic. We value our UK visitors and appreciate their visitation to our destination. We are hopeful that this message is received with sincerity, empathy and our apologies.
